The Sanskrit word “Salabha” means “locust”.In this Asan, the body takes the shape of a locust.Therefore, the name of this Asan is Salsbhasan.
Lie straight on your stomach on a carpet or blanket.The heels should face upwards.Keep your palms facing upwards underneath your thighs.
Place your chin on the ground and lift your nose and head slightly.
Hold your breath and raise your legs by applying pressure on your arms,hands and chest.The legs should be together and knees should not bend.Raise your body upto navel.
Hold this position as long as you comfortabley can.In the beginning a few seconds is enough.
Lastly exhale and comeback to the former position.Relax and take rest.
Whrn you start it is enough to do it once or twice.Later you can increase it upto 7 times.
